Route 138
An authentic A moving A unifying documentary!
Synopsis
That’s it. The verdict is in: no sailing for me this summer. My sailboat is in ruins—especially the engine. The parts? Rare, almost impossible to find. Its keel will remain dry, anchored on solid ground. But as for me, I refuse to stand on the dock and just stare at the horizon. I want to leave. I need to leave…
Route 138 is a cinematic journey across Québec, a road trip on my motorcycle that begins at the U.S. border. The road brushes past Montréal, flirts with Trois-Rivières and Québec City, elegantly winds through Charlevoix, and surrenders to the mysteries of the Côte-Nord. It scatters picturesque villages along this ribbon of asphalt, where every stop becomes a world of its own to explore.
Its 1,420 kilometers are an invitation: elders recall the day it connected their villages to the rest of the world; artists and artisans draw inspiration from this land for their craft. Route 138 is the thread of a life, an Ariadne’s thread that weaves through all of Québec, where each traveler finds their own path. A road of memory, resilience, and beauty, it carries a piece of every region it crosses and the gentle imprint of those who travel it.
This film is not just a geographic journey, but an emotional one—woven through the stories of those who live along the 138: moments of solitude in the vastness of nature; fleeting yet meaningful connections between people, the land, and the river.

Join Me on This Journey, Where Anything Becomes Possible
This documentary is a journey—one traveled with humility, to listen, observe, and share the richness of human connections. But for this project to come to life in its full authenticity, your support is essential.
I have created a GoFundMe page to help gather the resources needed to bring this project to reality.
Every contribution, big or small, will help:
- Cover certain filming costs (travel, accommodation).
- Finalize post-production (music, licensing rights).
- Promote the film and submit it to festivals to reach a wider audience.
As a token of gratitude, all contributors will have their names listed in the end credits of the documentary. I will also mention your name during filming in short video updates shared on my social media, to keep you involved in the journey and thank you personally.
